they had a "community meeting" here and decided to do trick or treating this year. the date is yet to be announced, but it will probably be oct. 30 since if it is on a weekend, they usually go with the friday before.

i expect to year about a surge of COVID-19 cases a few weeks later.

it hasn't happened this summer but last summer (& maybe the one before) someone would play wrecking ball by miley cyrus on their car stereo rather loud & sing loudly along with the chorus, but just the line; i came in like a wrecking ball. it was a man too & rarely went beyond that portion. thankfully during the day.

ordered on saturday apr.18 and got an e-maile on apr. 21 that they were sent out.

people posted that it might take as long a 10 days to get them. i hope not.

in mask-related news; kids don't play in groups around her as much as they used to. but when they do, no one is wearing a mask.

1. this is such a quite area. i've always lived in rural areas, usually far way from other house. but other than cars playing music loudly & kids screeching when play, it's so quiet.
the new neighbor is a single mother with 2 or 3 kids (another woman with 2 or 3 kids helped her move in & i don't know who's kids were who's) who spends 90% of the day ( Read more... )

for some reason i was thinking about the trick-or-treat situation here. more specifically last year vs. this year.

this is the first place i've lived that's done it and while i didn't hand out anything, it was interesting to observe stuff.

during the worst of the recent snowfall (no as bad as some places) the management had snow plows go trough the streets here, & by "snow plows" i mean pick-up trucks with snow pow attachments. the first time they did a good job, the other times not so much ( Read more... )
